Things to be aware of

You must make sure that the insured vehicle is in a roadworthy condition at all times and has been maintained and serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, and any necessary repairs have been carried out. At the time of a claim you must be able to provide proof of servicing if we ask for it.

Your vehicle must, at all times throughout the duration of the coverage, have a valid MOT (unless exempt), and be validly taxed, insured, and registered in the UK. Failure to meet these obligations may result in your cover being voided, cancelled, or reduced.

Police Mutual Rescue (Breakdown Cover) is provided by ERS (Syndicate 218 at Lloyd’s) and is arranged and administered by PMGI Limited trading as Police Mutual.

Insured vehicle - any vehicle specified on the policy schedule (or reported to and accepted by us) that meets the following eligibility criteria:

any car, van (up to 7.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight), motorcycle (no sidecar), minibus (up to a seating capacity of 17 including the driver) or motorhome
any trailer or non-motorised caravan no more than 7 metres long (excluding the A-frame and hitch) and attached to the insured vehicle by a standard 50 millimetre towing coupling. Any attached trailer or non-motorised caravan will be entitled to the same service as the insured vehicle

I confirm that I am resident in the UK (excluding Jersey and Guernsey) or based with British Forces Germany.
I understand that the vehicle(s) to be covered must have a valid MOT (unless exempt), be taxed, insured and registered in the UK.
All answers I have given are true and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief. I understand that failure to give true and complete answers may result in my cover being reduced or cancelled.
I understand that if any of the information provided changes after I have purchased the policy and during the period of the policy that I must provide Forces Mutual with details. Changes to inform us about include change to insured vehicle (s), change in address, change in level of cover eg. UK to Euro or Euro to UK.
I understand that you exchange information with other insurers and the Police to prevent fraud, detect uninsured drivers and for the purposes of electronic car licensing.
I understand that I may cancel the policy within 14 days of receiving the policy documents, or at any time afterwards. If you cancel within 14 days we will make a charge equal to the period of cover you have had. If you cancel after 14 days you will not be entitled to any refund of premium.
